Empaira

Empaira is a free, anonymous network for family caregivers. It works through three things: honest connection, the right people, and support that fits the reality of a long road.

1. Anonymous connection. A place to say what you can't say anywhere else. No name, no profile photo, no one from your life. Just other people carrying the same weight, who don't flinch at the hard parts.

2. Matched to your situation. Rooms organized by condition and by stage, so you're talking with people who actually understand your road. Early Parkinson's, mid-stage Alzheimer's, life after loss. And because many caregivers are managing more than one condition at once, you can be in more than one.

3. Practical resources, where you actually live. Independent, regional, and condition-specific organizations and services near you, so support is not just national but usable.

4. Emotional check-ins. A short, private way to mark how you're actually doing, so you can see the shape of it over time instead of only feeling it.

Empaira exists to make caregiving feel lighter, steadier, and less isolating.

Empaira Care

Empaira Care is the employer-sponsored layer of the Empaira network, designed to help organizations support the employees who are also caregivers.

Millions of employees are balancing work alongside long-term caregiving. Most never tell HR. Empaira Care exists to reach them without asking them to identify themselves, and without requiring an organization to become a caregiving expert.

It runs inside the same network, not beside it. Sponsored employees enter the same anonymous rooms as everyone else. There is no separate employer space and no view into it.

How it works

  • A workforce census. An anonymous survey that tells you what share of your people are family caregivers, a number almost no employer has.
  • Manager training. Managers are where caregiver-employees are lost. We train the front line to recognize what's happening and respond to it.
  • Peer facilitator groups. Small facilitated groups led by a paid peer facilitator: a former caregiver, trained, certified, and employed by Empaira. Someone who came out the other side and now holds the space for the person still in it.

Empaira Care is designed to:

  • Reduce caregiver burnout and turnover through early, supportive intervention
  • Provide confidential, caregiver-specific support with no disclosure required
  • Report on outcomes in aggregate, never on individuals
  • Bridge work and care realities, grounded in lived experience

Free to the employee. Paid for by the employer. The caregiver never pays, never becomes the product.
